Sailing with steady trade winds!

Every islands varies to the other, discover your favourite island...

Cabo Verde is splitted in two island groups. The islands of Barlavento ("islands over the wind") and the islands of Sotavento ("islands under the wind"). Only 9 of the 15 islands are inhabited!

Sailing in Cabo Verde means open atlantic sailing with short but also challenging sailing distances. Except of the Marina Mindelo on Sao Vicente you will not find any other marina, but lots of protected bays and small fishing harbours to anchor.

Extended beaches you mostly see on the flat east islands and also on Sao Vicente. Behind the beaches are huge dune areas and salt meadows. Various plant species are thriving there, about 90 species you don't find anywhere else on the world.

San Antao is a very green island. As anchoring in Porto Novo is very difficult you can visit this island before or after your charter with ferry.

The uninhabited island Santa Luzia decoys with kilometer-long lonely sandy beaches.

Should you consider a longer stay we recommend to sail to the beautiful island Fogo in the south.
The visit of the 2.728m high vulcano "Pico de Fogo" is a must for every hiker. Only 10 nautical miles away is the contrary island Brava, also called the "flower island".
